  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 Tbsp yeast (instant or platinum)
  • ⅓ cup canola oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 large egg
  • 3½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 4 Tbsp melted butter (for topping)
  • 2 Tbsp granulated garlic (for topping)
  • ¼ cup parmesan cheese (shredded or grated)
  • 2 tsp parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine warm water and sugar; add yeast and let it proof for 2–5 minutes.
  3. Mix in canola oil, salt, egg, and flour until combined; add more flour if necessary.
  4. Divide dough into 16 pieces and shape into rolls.
  5. Allow rolls to rise in a warm place for about 5–10 minutes.
  6. Brush with melted butter and sprinkle garlic, parmesan, and parsley on top.
  7. Bake for 18–20 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Serve warm with additional butter if desired.
