  • 300 g all-purpose flour
  • 60 g granulated sugar
  • 220 g unsalted butter (cold)
  • 1 kg apples (Pink Lady or Fuji)
  • 190 g brown sugar
  • 1¼ tsp ground cinnamon
  • Vanilla ice cream

Instructions

  1. For the crust, mix flour, sugar, and salt in a bowl. Cut in cold butter until crumbly, then add cold water until the dough forms. Chill for 30 minutes.
  2. For the filling, peel and slice apples. Cook them with butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, cornstarch, salt, and water until slightly softened.
  3. Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F). Roll out the crust and fill your baking dish with apple mixture. Cover with another layer of dough.
  4. Bake for 60–80 minutes until golden brown.
  5. Serve warm slices topped with vanilla ice cream.
