  • ¼ tsp Salt
  • 45 g Butter, melted (3 tbsp)
  • 2 Egg Yolks
  • 60 g Water (¼ cup)
  • 100 g Mozzarella (1 cup)
  • 100 g Tomatoes (1 cup)
  • Fresh Basil

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine flour and salt. Add melted butter, egg yolks, and water; mix to form dough.
  2. Knead on a floured surface until smooth. Cover and let rest for 10 minutes.
  3. Chop mozzarella, tomatoes, and basil; mix in a bowl for the filling.
  4. Preheat oven to 200°C (400°F). Roll out dough to about ¼ inch thick and cut into circles.
  5. Fill each circle with a tablespoon of filling, fold over, and seal edges.
  6. Place on a baking sheet, brush tops with egg yolk, and bake for about 20 minutes until golden.
