  • 130 g Dark Chocolate
  • 360 g Yogurt (1 + ½ cup)
  • 125 g Sugar
  • 185 ml Milk (¾ cup)
  • 120 g Wholemeal Flour (1 cup)
  • 75 g Cocoa Powder
  • ¼ tsp Baking Soda
  • ¼ tsp Salt
  • 200 g Pitted Cherries

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8-inch square baking tin with parchment paper.
  2. Melt the dark chocolate using a double boiler or microwave until smooth.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together yogurt, milk, sugar, and melted chocolate until well combined.
  4. Sift in flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt; gently fold until nearly incorporated.
  5. Add pitted cherries and extra chocolate chunks if desired, folding gently to combine.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared tin, smoothing the top. Garnish with halved cherries and chocolate chunks if you like.
  7. Bake for 40-45 minutes until a toothpick inserted comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  8. Allow cooling completely before slicing into squares.
