  • 1 cup medium shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • Seasonings: smoked paprika, Old Bay seasoning, cayenne pepper (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a heavy-bottomed pot over medium heat, melt the butter and olive oil. Sauté the onion, garlic, celery, and carrot until soft (5-7 minutes).
  2. Stir in the flour to create a roux; cook until golden brown (about 2 minutes).
  3. Gradually add the seafood stock while stirring continuously. Incorporate the heavy cream and white wine; bring to a gentle simmer.
  4. Add crab meat and shrimp; stir gently to combine. Season with paprika and Old Bay seasoning.
  5. Simmer for 15-20 minutes until shrimp are pink and cooked through.
