  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup beef stock
  • 15 oz marinara sauce
  • 3/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1 1/2 cups cheddar cheese, freshly grated
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper (to taste)

Instructions

  1. Cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add ground beef and brown for about 3-5 minutes. Drain excess fat.
  3. Add diced onion to the skillet and sauté for about 2 minutes. Stir in minced garlic and cook until fragrant.
  4. Whisk in flour until lightly browned, then gradually add beef stock and marinara sauce, followed by seasonings.
  5. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 6-8 minutes until thickened.
  6. Stir in cooked pasta and ground beef mixture, then slowly mix in heavy cream until heated through.
  7. Fold in sour cream and cheddar cheese until melted.
  8. Serve hot, garnished with fresh herbs if desired.
