Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1.5 lbs)
  • 8 oz fettuccine or penne pasta
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Boil salted water in a large pot. Add the pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, melt 2 tbsp of butter. Season the chicken with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Cook each breast for about 6-7 minutes per side until golden brown and fully cooked. Remove from skillet and let rest before slicing.
  3. In the same skillet, add the remaining 1 tbsp of butter and minced garlic; sauté until fragrant (about one minute). Pour in heavy cream and stir until the sauce thickens.
  4. Slice the chicken into bite-sized pieces and return it to the skillet along with the drained pasta. Toss gently in the creamy sauce until well coated.
  5. Plate generously, garnishing with extra Italian seasoning or freshly grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
