Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 pork chops
  • Salt & pepper (to taste)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons butter (divided)
  • 1 whole head garlic (cloves peeled)
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • ½ cup chicken broth
  • ½ teaspoon lemon juice
  • ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ¾ cup heavy cream
  • Fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the pork chops by seasoning them generously with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil and 1 tablespoon of butter in a deep skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the pork chops for about 3-5 minutes on each side until golden brown, then set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add remaining butter and peeled garlic cloves; cook until lightly browned.
  4. Create a roux by pushing garlic to one side of the pan, adding flour to the other side, and cooking briefly before mixing together.
  5. Stir in chicken broth and lemon juice; allow to thicken slightly.
  6. Add garlic powder and heavy cream, mixing thoroughly before returning pork chops to the skillet.
  7. Cook until the sauce thickens further and pork reaches an internal temperature of at least 145°F.
