  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20)
  • 1½ cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • ¼ cup diced onions
  • ¼ cup sliced pickles
  • ¼ cup shredded lettuce
  • 1 tbsp mustard (sugar-free)
  • 1 tbsp mayo or burger sauce (optional)

Instructions

1. Heat a non-stick or cast iron skillet over medium heat.

2. Spread ¼ cup of shredded cheese in small mounds on skillet.

3. Let cheese melt and crisp around edges, about 2–3 minutes.

4. Gently lift with spatula and drape over utensil to shape.

5. Form beef into small balls, place on hot skillet, and smash flat.

6. Season with garlic powder, salt, and pepper.

7. Sear each side 1–2 minutes until crust forms.

8. Place cooked patty into cooled cheese shell.

9. Top with lettuce, onions, pickles, and your choice of sauce.

10. Serve immediately while hot and crisp.
