This low carb smash burger taco is a cheesy, juicy, keto-approved twist on your favorite burger—ready in 30 minutes!

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20)
  • 4 slices cheddar cheese (or 1 1/3 cups shredded)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Shredded lettuce
  • Dill pickles, sliced
  • Diced red onion
  • 2 tbsp mayo
  • 1 tbsp sugar-free ketchup
  • 1 tsp mustard
  • Lettuce leaves or low carb tortillas

Instructions

1. Preheat skillet over medium-high heat until very hot.

2. Roll beef into 2–3 oz balls and place in skillet.

3. Smash each ball flat with a spatula and season.

4. Cook undisturbed for 2–3 minutes until crispy.

5. Flip, add cheese, and let melt.

6. Crisp cheese separately for cheese shell if desired.

7. Assemble taco with patty, toppings, and sauce.

8. Serve immediately with side salad or veggies.

Notes

You can prep patties ahead and store in the fridge.
