  • 1 cup dark brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs

  • 2 large apples (chopped finely)
  • 2 Tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 Tbsp butter
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 2 Tbsp butter
  • 1/4 cup pure maple syrup
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/4 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/8 tsp ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare an 11×7 inch baking pan with cooking spray.
  2. In one bowl, mix flour, baking powder, and salt. In another bowl, cream together softened butter and sugars until fluffy. Add eggs, vanilla extract, and cinnamon; mix well.
  3. Gradually combine dry ingredients with wet ingredients until just mixed and then fold in the chopped apples.
  4. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for about 25 minutes or until golden brown on top.
  5. For the glaze, melt butter and brown sugar in a saucepan over low heat; stir in maple syrup and whisk until smooth. Drizzle over cooled blondies before slicing.
