  • 2 tablespoons matcha powder
  • 150 g unsalted butter, cubed
  • 3 large eggs, room temperature
  • 250 g granulated sugar
  • 100 g all-purpose flour

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9×9 inch square pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat until it turns golden brown. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  3. In a bowl, combine the chopped white chocolate with matcha powder. Pour the browned butter over this mixture and let sit for 3 minutes before stirring until smooth.
  4. In a large bowl, whisk together eggs and sugar until thickened and pale (about 7-10 minutes).
  5. Gently fold in the white chocolate mixture followed by the flour until just combined.
  6. Spread the batter evenly into the prepared pan and bake for approximately 25 minutes or until edges are set but center is slightly jiggly.
  7. Allow brownies to cool completely before lifting them out using parchment paper and slicing into squares.
