  • 1/4 tsp EACH ground nutmeg, ground cinnamon, fine sea salt
  • Pinch of ground cloves
  • 1 cup pecans finely chopped (optional)
  • 1/3 cup packed light brown sugar (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons dark corn syrup (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter (optional)
  • 1/4 tsp EACH sea salt, ground cinnamon (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons heavy cream (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon coarse sugar (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). In a mixing bowl, cream together butter and brown sugar. Add egg yolk and vanilla; mix well.
  2. Gradually add flour, oats, and salt until dough forms. Press into a greased pie dish.
  3. Bake crust for about 15 minutes until lightly golden. Let cool.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together eggs, cream, milk, sugar, and spices until smooth.
