  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ cup pure honey
  • 1 tsp freshly ground black pepper
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter (plus 2 tbsp for cheese sauce)
  • 2 cups elbow macaroni
  • 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
  2. In a small saucepan, melt ¼ cup butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and cook until fragrant, then stir in honey until smooth.
  3. Place seasoned chicken in a baking dish and pour half the honey glaze over it. Bake for 25-30 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
  4. Meanwhile, boil salted water in a large pot and cook elbow macaroni until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  5. For the cheese sauce, melt 2 tbsp butter in another pot over medium heat. Stir in flour to create a roux, then gradually whisk in milk until thickened. Add shredded cheddar cheese until melted.
  6. Serve the chicken drizzled with remaining glaze alongside creamy mac and cheese.
