  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup unsalted butter (melted)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ cup plain yogurt or sour cream
  • Ground cinnamon and cardamom

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a baking pan and line it with parchment paper.
  2. Peel, core, and thinly slice the apples; set aside.
  3. In one bowl, combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and cardamom. In another bowl, whisk together melted butter, sugar, eggs, vanilla extract, and yogurt.

  6. Add remaining batter over apples; decorate with remaining apple slices.
